Jacksons’ patriarch, Joe Jackson, dead at 89
Joe Jackson, the father of the late Michael Jackson and his musical siblings, is dead.
TMZ reports family the patriarch died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday in Los Angeles, one day after his 89th birthday.
The elder Jackson was hospitalized in June with terminal pancreatic cancer.

However, a day later, Paris Jackson (daughter of Michael) denied her grandfather penned the tweet himself.
this is a beautiful tweet. though it upsets me to see whoever is in charge of this account taking advantage of it. my grandfather did not tweet this. i’m not sure if he’s ever used this account. https://t.co/KU6jikCD7G

#JoeJackson passed at 89 as the patriarch of a family that has mainstreamed our culture. He was never given the credit he deserved. He influenced the world of music with the Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and others. May history correct his legacy. : @GettyImages pic.twitter.com/NAlceUJaqv
