Local retailers, restaurants and cultural attractions will be paired with area artists to celebrate Small Business Saturday on Nov. 26 at the first Greensburg Art & Shopping Crawl throughout the Downtown area.

This event is a collaboration of Think Greensburg!, Westmoreland Cultural Trust and The Westmoreland Museum of American Art. Each stop will feature artwork on display from local talent.

This is a great way to showcase art and fashion, says Kevin Miscik, owner of Lapels A Fine Mens Clothier, a chic men’s store located on Pennsylvania Avenue.

“Our store is kind of artsy anyway,” says Miscik, who stays on top of the latest style trends for guys. “It has a boutique feel and will be decorated over the top for Christmas. This event is a way to bridge the gap between the arts, such as the Palace Theatre and Seton Hill Performing Arts Center, and the great fashion and business district we have here.”

“We are thrilled to have an opportunity to work with The Westmoreland Museum of American Art and Think Greensburg! to support local and economic stimuli within the Downtown Greensburg area,” says Kelli Brisbane, Westmoreland Cultural Trust event coordinator. “This holiday, let’s start a new trend to shop small, spend local, eat local, enjoy local and support our local community.”

Greensburg Mayor Robert L. Bell will kick off the event at 11 a.m. at The Westmoreland. Throughout the day, visitors can tour Westmoreland Cultural Trust’s Incubator for the Arts working artists’ studios that house local and student artists and take part in family activities.

Free parking will be offered in the Bell Garage at 106 West Otterman St. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crawl-goers are encouraged to share their experience on social media via #GbgArtShoppingCrawl, #ShopGreensburg, #ShopSmall and #SmallBizSaturday.
