'Dance Moms' Holly to sign autographs in Monroeville

Holly Hatcher-Frazier, often considered the voice of reason on Lifetime's “Dance Moms,” will be signing copies of her new book of affirmations, “Moments of Clarity,” from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Doubletree Hotel in Monroeville.

Hatcher-Frazier has a doctorate in education and previously served as a principal at Winchester Thurston School in Shadyside. She and her 12-year-old daughter, Nia, have been on the show since its inception in 2011. The show focuses on dance students and their mothers at the Abby Lee Dance Company in Penn Hills.

The book, which is self-published, contains 30 short quips about life, such as “You can only control you” and “Don't be afraid to ask for help.”
