As a dance major at Point Park, located in downtown Pittsburgh, students can receive training in ballet, jazz and modern dance, the blog says. Point Park’s bachelor of arts in dance pedagogy prepares students for various levels of instruction, from pre-school to professional. Students must complete one year in the dance program to pursue this degree.
“The Conservatory of Performing Arts has a long tradition of training superbly versatile dance artists,” says Garfield Lemonius, chair of Point Park’s department of dance. “That we are always ranked among the best schools in the country speaks volumes of our dedication to the profession and to preparing artists for an ever-changing industry.”
