Stargazing party planned at Greenlick Run Lake

A stargazing party will be held Oct. 12 at Greenlick Run Lake near Mt. Pleasant.

The Second Annual Stargazing Party four area nonprofits are jointly hosting will be held around the lake and under the stars at Greenlick Run Lake near Mt. Pleasant on Oct. 12.

The free, family-friendly event will begin at 6:45 p.m. with the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh , one of the hosts, presenting a program at the pavilion.

Snacks and telescopes will be provided at 7 p.m., according to a news release.

Those attending may bring their own telescopes, blankets and chairs.

Also hosting are Jacobs Creek Watershed Association , Scottdale Public Library and Mt. Pleasant Public Library .
