Calling all 'neighbors,' WQED celebrates Mister Rogers' 50th anniversary
The dress code for WQED' s Cardigan Party celebrating the 50th anniversary of " Mister Rogers' Neighborhood " is decidedly casual.
Guests are invited to don their favorite button-up or zippered sweaters and lace up their most comfy sneakers, just like Fred did, for the 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 20 event in the Oakland station's Fred Rogers Studio.
Generations who grew up learning some important life lessons from the gentle Latrobe native can take a walk down memory lane. They can listen to Mister Rogers-themed music, enjoy entertainment and sample retro-themed snacks in the same studio where the iconic PBS children's program was produced from 1970 to 2001.
This event is for big kids only, age 21 and up.
Tickets are $25 each.
