A new Lifetime movie being shot next month in Pittsburgh is seeking extras of all ethnicities.

The movie, “Prepared for a Purpose,” is based on the novel of the same name about Antoinette Tuff, who relied on her faith and courage to avert tragedy when a gunman entered her Atlanta-area school.

The film stars Toni Braxton as Tuff and is executive produced by Pastor TD Jakes, whose teachings were part of Tuff’s inspiration.

Filmmakers are looking for children 6 to 14 to play students, and adults 18 and over to play family member, police and reporters. Film is scheduled to take place between June 8 and 30, with no weekend work. Adults can expect to work nine to 14 hours a day and kids nine hours or less. Extras will be paid $7.25 per hour.

The open casting call will be from 3 to 8 p.m. May 25 at 31st Street Studios, 77 31st St., in Pittsburgh Strip District.
