Pittsburgh native rap star Wiz Khalifa and Chicago-based pop-punk band Fall Out Boy lit it up up up Thursday at First Niagara Pavilion.
Fans filled the pavilion for the “Boyz of Zummer Tour,” featuring the pair of platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated acts known for their sports commercial spots and hometown anthems.
Teaming up to promote their latest projects, the tour will make over 40 stops in cities across the country throughout the summer.
Fall Out Boy released their sixth studio album, “American Beauty/American Psycho,” at the beginning of the year, featuring the double platinum-certified single “Centuries.”
Wiz Khalifa is supporting his latest record, “Blacc Hollywood,” released in August last year, which debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top 200 album chart. The single “We Dem Boyz” has earned Khalifa his seventh career Grammy nod for this year's best rap song, along with best rap album.
