Touring in support of his chart-topping debut album, “Chaos and the Calm,” the Grammy-nomintated 26-year-old English singer-songwriter James Bay made his first performance in Pittsburgh Wednesday night at Stage AE.
Bay opened his set with “Collide,” and “Craving,” before playing the crowd favorite “When We Were On Fire” and wrapped up the encore with the 2014 platinum-certified single, “Hold Back The River.”
The “Chaos and the Calm” tour is Bay's first time out as a headliner, hitting only 16 U.S. cities, and will conclude October 8. Released on March 23, 2015, “Chaos and the Calm” went to number one in the UK and number 15 in the US. In February 2015, Bay received the Brit Awards “Critics' Choice” award. In 2016, Bay received the Brit Award for Best British Male Solo Artist and three nominations at the 2016 Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist.
