Pittsburgh Symphony CD is Grammy nominee

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's current release, “Dvorak & Janacek,” has been nominated for a 2015 Grammy Award in the best orchestral performance category.

The disc on the Reference Recording label features Antonin Dvorak's symphony No. 8 and Leos Janacek's suite from “Jenufa.” The album was recorded in Heinz Hall, Downtown, by the Soundmirror firm, which has received more than 70 Grammy nominations and awards.

Grammy winners will be announced Feb. 8.
