The Colony Restaurant on Cochran Road in Scott, vacant for the past year, will have a new occupant starting May 1 when Ed Dunlap opens Club Colony for dinner Wednesday through Saturday.

Besides a menu that offers American dishes from chicken to fish to steaks — the highest priced item is Bleu Cheese Filet at $28 — Dunlap is bringing back music and dancing that were offered when the Steliotes Family opened the Colony in 1958. There will be 25 employees. This marks Dunlap's third restaurant attempt at the site, the first when he and his wife, Anna, purchased the Colony and its building in 2001. The most recent occupant was Andora, which is privately owned.

Dunlap, chairman of Centimark Corp. in Washington County, has been involved as an owner in numerous restaurants. Among them are LeMont, and Pittsburgh Grill at both U.S. Steel Tower and DelMonte Building. Others that closed are Louis Tambellini's, LePommier, Pazzo, Palate Bristro, and Damon's.
