Megabus tracking app provides arrival, stop details

The low-cost, express bus company Megabus has updated its mobile tracking application to include Northeast routes, including Pittsburgh.

Customers can use the app on a smartphone or other device to determine the estimated time of arrival for their buses, and find bus stops.

The app is available for Apple and Android platforms. Midwest and Southeast routes were on it initially, and to date, there have been 50,000 downloads. Megabus is using a curbside stop beneath the David L. Lawrence Convention Center to load and unload passengers, and is working with the city of Pittsburgh to find a new home.
