Facebook and Instagram went down Tuesday morning, with users around the globe reporting issues updating statuses, slow load times and connecting to Messenger.
According to downdetector.com, reported outages were heaviest on the east coast of the United States and across Europe.
While the site seemed to come back slowly as the morning went on, posts on social media (those that weren't Facebook and Instagram, of course), showed that when their social media goes down, the internet just can't handle it.
