A ride in a horse drawn carriage was the highlight of the 2015 annual Irwin Cookie Tour for most visitors. Chistmas spirit filled the air in Irwin as residents made their way through the streets of downtown, stopping into businesses, exchanging Christmas greetings and gathering cookies at each stop. The annual event is hosted by the Irwin Business and Professional Association (IBPA).
The Irwin Business and Professional Association will hold its annual “Christmas Cookie Tour” from 5-8 p.m. Dec. 7 throughout downtown Irwin and its restaurants, churches and stores, according to an association release.
The evening will feature dinner specials and a selection of cookie samples at the Irwin restaurants, a horse-drawn carriage making a circuit downtown to each eatery and stores, strolling carolers and Christmas karaoke on Main Street.
There is no entry fee or charge for cookie samples.
Parking will be available in the downtown parking lots and along the Main Street area and Irwin Park.
