Hempfield yoga studio to re-open under new ownership
A grand re-opening party is planned for 1-4 p.m. Sept. 8 at Moonglow Yoga in Hempfield.
New owners Bethany and Sean Connelly of Greensburg say the event will feature information on classes, the Iron City Eats food truck, music by Hayley Daily, information on essential oils and health and wellness, henna art, a tarot card reader and giveaways, including a drawing for a free year of yoga classes.
The studio at 125 Nature Run Road will offer various classes for all levels of fitness and experience, including hot Vinyasa Flow yoga and Buti, which Bethany Connelly calls a “tribal fusion” mix of yoga, dance, African-style movement and high-energy music.
During September, the Connellys are offering an introductory rate of $80 per month for unlimited classes, requiring a three-month commitment and including membership perks. Those signing up also will receive a cotton tote bag with a yoga mat, Moonglow shirt and water bottle.
The bags also will contain gift certificates and coupons for local businesses, while supplies last.
Classes will be taught by Bethany Connelly and other instructors. Connelly says she has practiced yoga for most of her adult life and received teacher training at Moonglow, under the previous ownership.
She also is a dance instructor who manages the dance program at the Regional Family YMCA of Laurel Highlands near Mt. Pleasant.
Sean Connelly, who works for a San Diego, Calif.-based software company will be in charge of the business aspects of the studio.
