Daryl Hall & John Oates open their set with 'Maneater' in Pittsburgh Saturday, May 2 during the first outdoor show at Stage AE of the 2015 concert season.

After decades of hit albums, Daryl Hall & John Oates continue to draw sold-out crowds as a live act, playing songs from a catalog that numbers well over 100 songs.

Their show in Pittsburgh on Saturday night at Stage AE reaffirmed thier long-standing stature as the best-selling duo in rock history, playing to a filled to capacity crowd at the first outdoor show of the season.

While much of their reputation is due to releasing a string of chart-topping albums, beginning with 1972’s “Whole Oates,” they continue to record and tour while maintaining their popularity with fans and respect from other artists for their ability to cross stylistic boundaries.

This year marks the 35th anniversary of the duo’s ninth album “Voices,” which produced four hit singles, including the No. 1 “Kiss on My List” and Top 5 hit “You Make My Dreams (Come True).”

They are best known for their six No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: “Rich Girl,” “Kiss on My List,” “Private Eyes,” “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do),” “Maneater” and “Out of Touch”, as well as many other songs which charted in the Top 40.

In 2003 they were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and in 2014 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
