Caamp preforms at Stage AE on the North Shore on Nov. 29, 2018.

Ohio-based folk band Caamp drew a rowdy crowd packed into Stage AE late Thursday evening.

The evening’s lineup also included Savannah Conley and Adam Remnant.

Caamp, now composed of Evan Westfall, Taylor Meier, and Matt Vinson, independently released their self-titled first record in 2016, and have since gained popularity on platforms such as Spotify, boasting over 2 million monthly listens of their music.

Westfall, the band’s Banjo and drum player, said coming back to Appalachia is special, “anywhere like this with rolling hills reminds me of where it all started,” an attic in Athens, Ohio.

The band continues their tour through mid-December before traveling to Europe for additional shows.
