The “neighborhood” delivered its full support forTaste of the Neighborhood: Pizza, Brews and More, a fundraiser held March 27 in the Latrobe Art Center.

Proceeds from the sold-out event will help fund a Sharp Aquos Board. The interactive display system will serve as a teaching tool in classrooms at the center and as an information source for upcoming events.

About 180 guests sampled a variety of foods from Latrobe area vendors including Chef Dato’s Table, The Touchdown Club, Scotty G’s, Chef Mark’s Palate, Marco’s Pizza, Sun Dawg Café and Latrobe Dairy Queen, and beer from All Saints Brewing Co. and Four Seasons Brewing Co. Musical entertainment was provided by Detention, featuring Jane DeBone and Mandi O’Leary.

Art center DirectorGabrielle Nastuck and staff membersLauren Condon, Joe Bellack, Emily Dias, Seth Rupert and Ryan Wagner, along with Ray and Rachel Flowers, operators of the center’s Neighborhood Café, were the evening’s planners. “We are hoping for a similar repeat event this summer,” Nastuck said.
