Duchess and her dad at it again: Markle’s letter at the center of latest controversy
Controversy has followed Meghan Markle ever since she decided to trade in her role as an actress for a role in Britain’s royal family, as wife of Prince Harry and Duchess of Sussex.
Though an American actress of mixed race in the royal family was controversial enough for some, much of the tabloid fodder has come from the public airing of Markle family dirty laundry — and most of that comes from the duchess’ father, Thomas Markle.
Tongues are wagging today about Thomas sharing a letter Meghan wrote him after he didn’t attend her wedding, asking to patch up their differences in private — which Thomas now has shared with London’s Daily Mail newspaper.
Thomas countered to the Daily Mail that he has tried to heal the rift and showed texts he sent reaching out to Meghan and Harry, whom he has yet to meet.

In the letter, Meghan says she writes with a “heavy heart” to ask her “Daddy” to stop giving interviews, fabricating stories and attacking her new husband, among other things — like not acknowledging the financial help she’s given him.
Thomas says he was forced to reveal the letter after five close friends of the Duchess gave anonymous interviews to People magazine last week, saying the pregnant Meghan has been unjustly bullied and dubbed “Duchess Difficult.”
The friends say Thomas responded to the letter by asking for a photo op.

Kensington Palace has yet to comment on the latest brouhaha, though the public wonders at Meghan’s decision to involve her friends — one of whom is thought to be a fellow cast member from “Suits,” the USA Network drama on which Meghan starred.
Does the internet have opinions? Of course it does.
Both Meghan and Thomas Markle get scourging and sympathy.
In my eyes, what the letter has proved is: 1) Thomas Markle cannot be trusted. He is in it for the money. 2) #MeghanMarkle is as fake and dramatic as her handwriting and will use her emotions to blackmail people.

Strangely enough, Meghan’s handwriting also comes under intense scrutiny.

No one has handwriting like this. Almost like she thought it might be studied by historians in 200 years time.
