Oscar Mayer Wienerfleet welcomes WienerCycle and WienerDrone
Have you ever been driving down the road and suddenly there’s a giant hot dog coming directly toward you?
It’s hard not to crack a smile when the Wienermobile, a vehicle shaped like a hot dog on a bun, rolls by.
Now Oscar Mayer, a division of the Kraft Heinz Company, is expanding its WienerFleet, which already includes the WienerMini and the WienerRover. The iconic brand is being joined by the WienerCycle and WienerDrone.
All five vehicles will be on the road this summer to promote the changes Oscar Mayer made to its hot dogs this year by removing all added nitrates and nitrites1, byproducts and artificial preservatives.

“As the most iconic brand, we’re going where other hot dogs can’t. We’re committed to getting our new hot dog in everyone’s hands — and going to great lengths to do this. We knew that was a job for more than just our existing Wienermobile,” said Greg Guidotti, head of marketing at Oscar Mayer.
The new WienerCycle and WienerDrone are specifically built to deliver the new Oscar Mayer hot dogs. The WienerCycle is a three-wheeled moped with a sidecar that doubles as a hot dog warming station. The WienerDrone is an unmanned hot dog-carrying aircraft designed for remote location delivery.
The Wienermobile has been around since 1936, created by Oscar Mayer’s nephew, Carl G. Mayer. Drivers of the Wienermobiles are known as Hotdoggers and they often hand out Wienerwhistles shaped like the Wienermobile.
