"We traveled all around greater Pittsburgh," Sebak says in the release. "And we've learned a lot. I had never had a fresh turkey for Thanksgiving before, but since I've been to Pounds Turkey Farm and I roasted one of their birds, I know I will always want to return every year just before Turkey Day." The program begins with a warning for those who may be squeamish, or who may prefer not to know about the animal origins and processing of meat. Then Sebak, who will celebrate 30 years with WQED this year, and his cameraman, Frank Caloiero, hit the road. Among their featured visits are: • Ricci's Italian Sausage in Kennedy Township • Showcase BBQ in Homewood • Green Valley Packing, home of Albert's Meats, in Taylorstown, Washington County • Jamison Farm near Latrobe • Salem's Market & Grill in the Strip District • Pounds Turkey Farm in Leechburg • Shorty's Lunch in Washington Details: WQED.org Mary Pickels is a Tribune-Review staff writer.
