A Cafe Art open house is planned for Feb. 17 in the Greensburg Art Center. Here, Artist Deborah Kollar, a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists and Sumi-e Society of America, demonstrates Chinese brush painting at a similar 2016 event.

A Cafe Art open house is planned for 2-4 p.m. Feb. 17 in the Greensburg Art Center, 230 Todd School Road, Hempfield.

The free event will feature “Mosaics With Rose,” with member artist Rosemary Sovyak demonstrating how to make colorful mosaic pieces such as suncatchers, decorative mirrors and hanging wall art.

Information also will be available on a mosaic art class that will be offered in the spring.

Guests will have the opportunity to view the current “As I See It” member exhibition in the center’s Rowe Gallery and to shop for artwork, handmade gift items and accessories. Special offers and discounts will be available.

Coffee and cookies will be served.
