Celebrity Homes: Tyra Banks puts Beverly Hills home on the market
Tyra Banks started modeling at age 11, and now at 41, after becoming one of the world's top models in Europe and the United States, has evolved into a successful actress in film and television, a two-time talk-show host, producer, best-selling author, singer and business owner.
She was the first black woman to appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue and the first to be a Victoria's Secret model. She also conceived, produced and was a judge on “America's Next Top Model.”
In 2004, a year after “America's Next Top Model,” debuted, she bought a home in Beverly Hills, Calif. She paid $3.085 million and, while living there for the past 11 years, has put an additional $2 million into the home.
Built in 1926, the 6,000-square-foot Spanish Colonial-style home has formal rooms, a media room, library, sun room, gym, chef's kitchen, maid's quarters and an outdoor casita. The master suite has a sitting area and large walk-in closet/dressing room with a safe room. Around the pool are an outdoor kitchen, seating for 12 and a firepit.
Tyra Banks' romantic Spanish villa in Beverly Hills is now for sale, priced at $7.75 million.
