Tableware trunk shows

Feathers in Shadyside is having Garnier-Thiebaut and Le Cadeaux trunk shows from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 4 and 5.

Garnier-Thiebaut, based in France, creates colorful jacquard tablecloths and linens, in addition to classic white and ivory. Le Cadeaux tableware will showcase new patterns of plates and glasses.

Representatives will be available April 4. Discounts are available during the trunk shows.

Rose-pruning demos

The Pittsburgh Rose Society will have its spring pruning demonstration at 1 p.m. April 5 and 12 at the Renziehausen Park Arboretum in McKeesport.

Rosarians will be in the garden to conduct hands-on pruning demonstrations and to answer questions about planting, fertilizing and pest control.

Participants should bring their own pruning tools, gloves and knee pads. The event will go on rain or shine. The event is free and open to the public.

Hershey Gardens trip

The Greensburg Garden Center is planning a bus trip to Hershey Gardens on June 6.

The bus will leave the garden center parking lot at 6:30 a.m. and return between 6 and 6:30 p.m.

The day will include a guided tour of the rose garden “Heritage and Horticulture,” plus time to stroll in the other gardens, the butterfly house and shopping area. An Italian buffet lunch at Fenicci’s is included.

The cost of the trip is $120. Register by May 4.
