Ligonier Community Garden will hold a 10 a.m. Saturday ribbon cutting ceremony, welcoming gardeners and visitors to the Old Lincoln Highway, Ligonier Township site.
Open house hours are 9:30 -11 a.m., according to the garden’s Facebook site.
Visitors can tour the garden and learn how to obtain one of the 4’x8’ raised bed garden spaces, available to Ligonier residents to grow their own plants for a $25 annual fee.
Those attending will receive free Penn State gardening information and seeds, the post states. They also will learn about insectary borders and how they attract pollinators and insects beneficial to gardens.
Visitors also can learn how to start milkweed seeds.
