For the past few weeks, Pittsburghers have flocked around the town's newest celebrity like pseudo-paparazzi, clamoring for the best shot possible.

The giant rubber duck floating at Point State Park is certainly photogenic, and each day models for folks wielding everything from smartphones and iPads to point-and-shoots and professional-grade cameras.

There's no shortage of ways to photograph Florentijn Hofman's public art piece, making its U.S. debut, thanks to the third International Festival of Firsts, organized by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.

From pretending to push, crush, kiss or cuddle the friendly waterfowl, folks are having fun posing at the Point. Some shots take multiple takes and require odd angles, but that's nothing more than water off a duck's back. Just be sure you don't ruffle any feathers by interrupting someone else's photo shoot.

For some of the poses like crushing or kissing the duck, taking a couple steps back or even up the stepped seating area can greatly improve the angle. You also can outstretch your arms and pretend to give the world's biggest bear hug.

And most importantly, be sure to smile. But with the duck nearby, how could you not?

We'd like to see your pictures posing with the duck. Email your photos to rubberducky@tribweb.com and we'll post the best of them on TribLive.com.
