Out & About: Art exhibition celebrates Seton Hill centennial
As part of Seton Hill University’s centennial year celebration, a special art exhibition entitled “Founding Artists” is running through Sept. 18 in the Harlan Gallery in the Seton Hill Arts Center in downtown Greensburg.
A reception was held Sept. 9.
Featured artists include Raymond DeFazio, Philip Rostek, Stuart Thompson and the late Josefa Filkosky and Sister Mary Frances Irvin . All of the artists are former members of the university’s arts faculty.
The exhibition also included a gallery talk with the artists Sept. 13.
Centennial year activities at the Catholic coeducational liberal arts school founded by the Sisters of Charity began with a Jan. 26 kick-off event and will continue through the end of 2018. For information, visit setonhill.edu.
