Metal fiber sculptor Atticus Adams shared some of his childhood with visitors to the June 8 Art on Tap at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art, via his new installation in the Robertshaw Gallery.
With metal mesh, paint and other materials, the dreamlike “Summers of Green Apples with Salt” evokes memories of time the Lawrenceville-based artist spent with his grandmother. The installation will be on site through Aug. 5.
Sponsors of the June happy hour were Judy and Kevin O’Toole. Judy is finishing her tenure this month as the Greensburg museum’s Richard M. Scaife Director/CEO, while Kevin recently retired as its director of facilities.
Works by Pittsburgh jewelry artist Maria Kyros were featured in the museum shop.
