Out & About: Benet House at Adelphoi artworks
Students from Benet House at Adelphoi participated in a 18-week program exploring the connections between science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). They created artworks inspired by The Westmoreland Museum or American Art's collection. The works were unveiled at a reception on May 25 at the museum, and were on exhibit at the museum through the weekend. This program was funded through a generous grant from the Fisher Fund of the Pittsburgh Foundation.
Seen at the reception were (from left) Jessica Higo, a teaching artist for the STEAM Learning Program; Adelphoi CEO Nancy Kukovich; Joan McGarry, the museum's director of education and visitor engagement; and Douglass Carlquist, president of Adelphoi Education.
