Voter registration events planned for Pittsburgh area Tuesday

A slew of voter registration events are planned for the Pittsburgh area Tuesday, which is National Voter Registration Day.

Libraries are hosting the majority of the events, along with other public venues such as Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum, where Tom Hanks is headlining a Tuesday evening event .

The national day has a website where people can view events and RSVP.

The deadline is Oct. 9 to register to vote on Nov. 6.

Below is a list of the Pittsburgh-area events planned for Tuesday.
