The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s staff has identified the woman found dead in a county jail cell Tuesday.

Jeanna Rosenberger, 39, of Pittsburgh died just before 9 a.m.

The medical examiner’s office and county police are investigating.

Corrections officers found her unresponsive about 8:55 a.m., according to a statement from Warden Orlando Harper.

Jail staff performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

She was pronounced dead at 9:12 a.m., a medical examiner’s office statement said Wednesday night.

According to court records, she was arrested by Pittsburgh police last weekend.

She was facing charges of endangering the welfare of children and hindering apprehension or prosecution.

Rosenberger was in the jail in lieu of $500 bond pending a Nov. 16 preliminary hearing.
