Allegheny County officials announced Boyce Park slopes will open Friday with a base of 18 to 48 inches of snow.

People can ski, snowboard along more than 20 acres worth of slopes and trails. Five snow tubing lanes — with 24 to 48 inches of snow — will open at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Slopes are expected to be open through mid-March, weather permitting.

Regular hours of operation are from 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 4 to 9:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

People can call 724-733-4665 to check snow conditions or 724-733-4656 for general information. The site is at 790 Center Road in Plum.

More information about the slopes and pricing is available at Allegheny County’s park website .
