Businesses relocate, open in Collier area

Insurrection AleWorks has opened at 1635 W. Railroad St., Heidelberg, by the municipal building.

Taking its name from this area's Whiskey Rebellion history, the bar has a railroad rail footrail and tabletops made from thick black walnut trees. The business is owned by Matt Messer and Brad Primozic. There is a 3.5-barrel brewhouse in the back of the 40-seat restaurant.

Hours are 4 p.m. to midnight Thursday and Friday, noon to midnight Saturday and noon-10 p.m. Sunday. Call 412-276-2030 for more information.

• Big Shot Bob's Sandwiches has relocated from 219 Second Ave., Carnegie, to 1006 Washington Ave., Carnegie, in the former Patron's Pizza spot. The business has added wings to the menu and now offers delivery and accepts credit cards.

All menu items are available for takeout. Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon-9 p.m. Sunday. Call 412-276-8887 for details.

• The former Shanti's Nail Supply at 1609 W. Railroad St., Heidelberg, is the new location for Anne's Nails & Spa.

• Peace Love & Little Donuts will open in the former Kribel's Bakery space in the Great Southern Shopping Center, Collier. The business also has locations in Bethel Park, Oakland, Cranberry, Wexford and the Strip District in Pittsburgh. It will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily.

• Penn Station East Coast Subs is opening in Collier Town Square (by Moe's).

• Tambellini Restaurant and Lounge, 413 Railroad St., Bridgeville, has a new catering menu. Call 412-221-5202 for details.

• GraMar Granite & Marble has opened a showroom at 1258 Poplar St., Crafton. Offering design and installation for kitchens, bathrooms, vanities, basements and outdoor grilling/bars, the business also offers free in-home estimates. Call 412-458-3051.

• The Ladies of Charity at SS. Simon & Jude Church, Scott, recently celebrated 25 years of service to the community. Some of their ministries have included visiting the sick and the aged, assisting at funeral Masses, putting together gifts for the homebound, preparing food for the homeless and aiding women's shelters.

• The Green Tree Historical Society's new hours are 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

• Congratulations to Karen Maurer, who received the Outstanding Service Award for 2015 at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish, Green Tree. A parishioner for more than 30 years, she has been a Eucharistic Minister, chairperson of many events, president of the Women's Guild and Parish Council, and participant in the Green Tree Women's Civic Club, Green Tree Garden Club and the Allegheny County elections inspectors' teams.

In 2003, she was given the Diocesan Manifesting the Kingdom Award.
