A decades-long family tradition has ended with the closing of Talotta's Restaurant on West Main Street in Carnegie.

Harjap S. Mann purchased the property and building at 513 West Main for $110,000 from Tom Talotta and Carol A. Gibbons on Oct. 30, according to Allegheny County property records.

“I wish the Talotta family much success,” said Jack Kobistek, Carnegie's mayor. “They are a super family and have done a lot for the community.”

Talotta was not available for comment on Thursday afternoon. Mann also could not be reached for comment.

The restaurant featuring homemade Italian food was a fixture in the community for several years.
