The Pittsburgh Bottleshop Cafe recently announced the addition of a microbrewery to its Collier establishment.

Photos posted on the restaurant's Facebook page this month show the installation of tanks.

“It's something we've been wanting to do since we first opened,” says Erik Grieco, bottleshop general manager for over 11 years. The bottleshop opened in 2004.

And brewing is not foreign to the bottleshop.

Owner and brewmaster Mark Davis has had a two-decade career in brewing, working with Samuel Adams, Iron City, IC Light, and now at the bottleshop.

The bottleshop is waiting on additional equipment deliveries, but hopes to start brewing in mid-May, according to an April 17 Facebook post.
