South Fayette Township High School’s Little Green Machine marching band will help celebrate the season Nov. 25 as they march through Pittsburgh in the annual WPXI Holiday Parade .

The band will be among a number of regional high school marching bands, floats and celebrities making their way from the Strip District to Downtown Pittsburgh.

Ross Township native and “The Voice” contestant Chris Jamison will perform. Among other performers are Jeff Jimerson, Pittsburgh Penguins national anthem singer; Pittsburgh CLO Mini Stars; and the Globetrotters.

In its 37th year, the WPXI Holiday Parade was created by the regional iconic former department store Kaufmann’s. For many years, the parade was known as the “Celebrate the Season Parade.” In 2006, after Macy’s took over Kaufmann’s, it became part of the Macy’s parade division — which includes the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade — until the department store company dropped sponsorship before the 2014 parade.

Along with musical performances, the parade includes floats; several mascots from Pittsburgh area sports teams, colleges and companies; and, of course, a visit by Santa Claus.

The parade airs live Saturday at 9 a.m. on WPXI and also will be streamed at wpxi.com. The parade will be rebroadcast on WPXI, PCNC and Me-TV.
