Town Talk: Carnegie couple marks 40th anniversary

Betty (Clerici) and Bob Reiss of Carnegie will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary Sunday.

They are the parents of two daughters, Holly Floyd of Carnegie and Heather Hunter. Betty and Bob are proud of their four grandchildren, Morgan and Jacob Floyd and Kaitlin and Riley Hunter.

• Renee (Rohrkaste) and Ricky Smith of Scott Township celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Sept. 16. They are the parents of five children, Paige, Logan, Regan, Grayson and Bailey. Ricky celebrated his birthday the same day.

• Congratulations to Matt and Monica Oleschlager, who were married Sept. 13 at the Penn Glades Lions Club in Butler. Matt is the son of Traci Oelschalger and Mark Oelschalger, both of Carnegie. He is the grandson of Mickey and Shirley Lazor of Carnegie. Monica is the daughter of Louise Ann Morell of Pittsburgh's Lawrenceville neighborhood and John Francis Morrell of Carnegie. Her grandparents are Mary Louise and Russell Scott of Lawrenceville.

• Mary Beth (Raco) and Tony Williams of Rennerdale will celebrate 32 years of marriage Friday. The couple have two children, Carmen and Melina. Also, happy birthday to Mary Beth, who celebrates the same day. Mary Beth and Tony both are Chartiers Valley High School graduates.

• Congratulations to Alex Lazor on the birth of his daughter, Ellie Faith Lazor on Aug. 4. Alex is the son of Richard Lazor of McDonough, Ga., and the grandson of Mickey and Shirley Lazor of Carnegie.

• Also, congratulations to Joey Lazor of Waterloo, Iowa, who was named the Collegiate Athlete of the Year for the state of Georgia on Sept. 14. Joey is the son of Richard Lazor of McDonough and the grandson of Mickey and Shirley Lazor of Carnegie. Joe recently received a degree in education from the University of Northern Iowa, where he wrestled for the Panthers.

• Linda Schepis Spotti of Carnegie celebrates her birthday today, Thursday, with her family, including, her four daughters — Candice, Aubrey, Brooke and Courtney — and her friends.

• Jennifer and Tim Schall of Carnegie will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary today, Thursday. They are the parents of three daughters, Makenzie, Madison and Morgan.

• Happy 27th wedding anniversary to Nancy (Bryan) and Chris McMullin of Carnegie, who will celebrate on Oct. 2. They are the parents of Jennifer (Victor) Jafarace and Katie (Andrew) Smith and have two grandchildren, Austin Chapman and Emma Jafarace.

• Happy 15th birthday to Isabella Huehn, who will celebrate on Sunday. She is the daughter of Carolyn and Edward Huehn of Carnegie and granddaughter of Rita and Robert Wade of Carnegie.

• Happy 37th wedding anniversary to Tom and Liz DiPietro of Rosslyn Heights who will celebrate Wednesday. They are the parents of Anthony (Avri) and Amy (Tim) Gastgeb. Tom and Liz have two grandchildren, Mason and Addison Gastgeb.

• Happy birthday to Albert Rossi who celebrates Sunday with his girlfriend, along with family and friends. Albert is the son of Joyce and Tom Rossi of Rosslyn Heights.

• Happy birthday to Darlene Hatcher of Carnegie, who celebrates Tuesday. Darlene is a maintenance worker at Carlynton Junior-Senior High School. Darlene is the mother of Randy Hatcher and Grandma to Dasha and Little Randy.

• Pearl and Richard Moehring of Rosslyn Heights both will celebrate their 70th birthdays next week. Pearl's birthday is Sunday, and Richard's is Oct. 2. Pearl and Richard are the parents of Wendy (J.D.) Restich and Richie and Thad Moehring. They have six grandchildren — David, Danielle and Rachel Restich and Brittani, Bradley and Brayden Moehring — and three great-grandchildren.

• Happy 88th birthday to John C. Burne, who celebrates Sunday with his wife, Helen. Helen and John are the parents of three children, David (Louise) of South Carolina, Kevin (Gwenn) of Scott Township and Cindy (Kurt) Winter of Frankfort Springs. They also have six grandchildren. John is a member of the Carnegie Rotary and the Carnegie Presbyterian Church, and they divide their time between Pennsylvania and South Carolina.

• Happy 84th birthday to Homer Nixon of Carnegie, who celebrates Friday with his wife of 57 years, Lee. They are the parents of Nancy (Walt) Wisniewski and Tom (Kim) Nixon. They have two grandchildren, Ashley (Frank) Bailey and Brad Wisniewski, and one great-granddaughter, Kenzie Bailey.

• Happy 87th birthday to Bob (Red) Kessler of Carnegie who celebrates Oct. 2. Red was married to his wife Jean (Mock) Kessler for 58 years before her death in 2005. They are the parents of Sally (Joe) Schmitt, JoAnn (Bill) Craft, Bob Kessler and Sandy (Ken) Skvarca. Also wishing him happy birthday are his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

• Brittany Sutton will celebrate her 35th birthday Tuesday. She is the daughter of Ken Sutton and the late Judith and has a brother, Kenny Jr. Brittany lives in Castle Shannon with her boyfriend, Don Whittington; his son, Don; and their son, Brandon. Brandon will be 1 year old on Halloween.

• Happy birthday to Jean (Tacola) Fiorentini of Carnegie who celebrates Wednesday. Jean was married to her husband George for 40 years until his death in 2006. She is Mom to Gina May, Alberta, Shawn and George Jr. She has eight grandchildren — Tori, Phillip, Kiersten, Madison, Jordan, Ryan, Brandon and Brandin.

• Birthdays this week include Jenn Rennie, Mindy Harrist, Audrey Wetmiller Schroder, Joanne Palombi Stefano, Rick Richter, Rich Whitaker, Mary Pat Shea Pitcher and Lisa Beth Mostowy.

• Birthday wishes are sent to Chris Keisling, 61, of Carnegie, who celebrates Sunday with family and friends.

• Belated birthday greetings are sent to Becca Chenette, who celebrated Friday. Becca is the wife of Kristopher Chenette and daughter of Mary Kay and Forrest Smith of Crafton. She celebrated with family and friends last weekend.
