Proceeds from the 2017 Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church Harvest Fair topped $110,000, most of which will be distributed back to charities in the Lower Valley, organizers said Wednesday.

Money will be doled out to All of Us Care and the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry in Sharpsburg and Meals on Wheels in Aspinwall. Portions of the proceeds also will benefit international women's and children's groups, including a Presbyterian preschool in Kirkuk, Afghanistan.

In its 64th year, the Harvest Fair was hosted on Sept. 29-30 with enough donated items to fill more than a dozen rooms in the church at the corner of Fox Chapel and Field Club roads.

Clothes, furniture, jewelry, household items, books and artwork were perused by thousands of shoppers over the two-day event.

Volunteer Carol Huff of O'Hara said the sale grows each year thanks to increased community support.

“Small donations go a big way to support these missions,” she said. “The Presbyterian Women thank everyone who helped make the fair such a success.”
