Shaler commissioners approved a liquor license transfer from a Hampton Pizza Hut franchisee on Route 8 to The Boulevard Restaurant & Bar at 605 Mount Royal Blvd.

The Boulevard operators Mike Buss and Meagan Macurdy of M&M Bites LLC also franchise the Pizza Hut.

The Boulevard currently is utilizing the previous operator's liquor license, according to attorney Mike Kozar of Flaherty & O'Hara PC, who represented Buss and Macurdy.

Buss said he and Macurdy would take over The Boulevard ownership once they acquire the license from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, which he estimates could occur in June.
