1 dead in shooting in North Side
One man died in a midday shooting on Pittsburgh's North Side Wednesday.
According to Public Safety spokeswoman Emily Schaffer, officers responded to Marshall-Shadeland about 1:40 p.m. for a report of gunshots on Shadeland Avenue.
Police said a 29-year-old man was sitting in his black sedan when a thin man pulled up, got out of his vehicle and fired multiple shots at the victim.
Brandon Nguyen of the Marshall-Shadeland area was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
Schaffer said the victim was the only one in his vehicle, and police believe the suspect was the only one in his.
Visibly distraught neighbors and loved ones gathered on a porch about a block from the scene. They declined to comment.
No arrests have been made.
