If you want tickets to the 2007 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, the time to act is now.

Applications for tickets are now being accepted by the USGA, with the deadline for submitting those being Aug. 15. At the end of August, a random drawing will be held and written notification to those chosen will go out in September.

Applications are available online at www.usga.org/championships/get_tickets or by calling the USGA at 800-698-0661 for a printed ticket application.

A Trophy Club package for the week is $550. Weekly grounds packages are $375. Daily tickets are $35 for practice rounds (Monday-Wednesday) and $95 for the tournament days. A practice round ticket package also is available for $70.

Open tickets have sold out for the past 20 years, and, despite an expected 32,000 tickets being sold for each day, the Open is expected to be sold out again next year.
