Education: Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Slippery Rock University.

Background: Ford worked in television production at WTAE-TV before joining the staffs of the American Cancer Society, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Huntington's Disease Society and Washington & Jefferson College.

Noteworthy: Duquesne University announced last month that Ford has been appointed executive director of corporate relations. She will lead the Uptown school's corporate relations program, connecting the campus with donors, academic partners and career services.
