Background: Adams has served in numerous capacities at the Community College of Allegheny County during his 25 years there, including as assistant to the executive dean of the South campus; acting assistant to the president; public information officer; assistant dean at CCAC's Homewood-Brushton Center; and assistant dean of multicultural affairs. Adams was a member of the Pittsburgh Human Relations Commission and the Pittsburgh Public Schools board. He is chairman of the board of The Institute of the Black World 21st Century and an associate member of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education.
Noteworthy : Last month, Adams was named executive director of community relations and outreach at CCAC, which is a new position.
