DUI, theft cases among those recently handled by Judge Herbst in Monroeville

Monroeville District Court Judge Jeffrey Herbst handled these cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

  • Randall Fisher, 31, of Lucedale, Miss. on charges of theft of services, accident involving death or injury while not properly licensed, driving with a suspended license and reckless driving. Charges were filed Oct. 2.
  • Tamara Pavlock, 49, of Mt. Lebanon on charges of recklessly endangering another person, disregard traffic lane, failure to yield to work vehicle and reckless driving. Charges were filed Aug. 11.
  • Jamay Walker, 21, of Pittsburgh on charges of forgery and theft by deception. Charges were filed April 1.
  • Paul Bair, 52, of Penn Hills on charges of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and careless driving. Charges were filed Aug. 14.
  • Austin Rhone, 36, of Elizabeth on charges of forgery and driving with a suspended license. Charges were filed Aug. 15.
  • George Crosby, 64, of Pittsburgh on charges of issuing a statement under penalty and two counts of providing a materially false written statement. Charges were filed Aug. 14.
  • Melvin Woods, 21, of Chicago Heights, Ill. on charges of corrupt organizations, conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking, access device used to obtain property/service, identity theft and criminal conspiracy to engage in theft by unlawful taking. State Attorney General’s office filed the charges Aug. 24.
  • Lavelle Agers, 20, of Beverly, Ill. on charges of corrupt organizations, conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking, criminal conspiracy to engage in theft by unlawful taking, two counts of identity theft and three counts of access device used to obtain property/service. State Attorney General’s office filed the charges Aug. 24.
  • Lamont Campbell, 25, of East Peoria, Ill. on charges of corrupt organizations, conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking and criminal conspiracy to engage in theft by unlawful taking. State Attorney General’s office filed the charges Aug. 24.

Waived preliminary hearings

  • Michelle Pearson, 47, of Whitaker on charges of retail theft and criminal trespass. Charges were filed Aug. 12.
  • Jessie Miles, 52, of Monroeville on charges of driving under the influence. Charges were filed Aug. 19.
  • Jesse Prosser, 29, of Pitcairn on charges of terroristic threats, possession of weapon, defiant trespass, criminal mischief and criminal trespass. Pitcairn police filed the charges Oct. 9.
  • Benjamin Bahleda, 35, of Pitcairn on charges of child pornography, criminal use of a communication facility and disseminating photos of child sex acts. State police filed the charges Oct. 18.
  • Christine Majewski, 48, of Zelienople on charges of misapplication of entrusted property and property of government or financial institution and two counts of theft by unlawful taking. Allegheny County District Attorney’s office filed the charges Sept. 27.
  • Jehrae Pierce, 18, of East Pittsburgh on charges of aggravated assault, disarming law enforcement officer without lawful authorization, possession with intent to deliver, possession of controlled substances and two counts of resisting arrest. Allegheny County Sheriff’s office filed the charges Aug. 22.
  • Donald Wilcox, 72, of Monroeville on charges of simple assault, recklessly engendering another person, accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property, disregard traffic lane, turning movements and required signals, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to stop and give information or render aid and failure to notify police of an accident involving damage to vehicle or property. State police filed the charges Sept. 4.
  • Joseph Kern, 35, of Springdale on charges of possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence. Charges were filed July 15.

Kern went before the judge on another case. He waived a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

  • Alvin Budd, 24, of Pittsburgh on charges of driving under the influence, driving without a license, operating a vehicle without required financial responsibility, illegal park where official signs prohibited and restrictions on alcoholic beverages. Pitcairn police filed the charges June 12.
  • Troy Buefort, 25, of Penn Hills on charges of retail theft and conspiracy. Charges were filed Nov. 2, 2017.
  • Sterling Shaw, 56, of Duquesne on charges of retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed Oct. 13.
