State route 48 in Monroeville has closed due to a landslide, flooding, downed trees and live wires, said Monroeville Police Chief Doug Cole.

The road closed around 1 p.m. between Cambridge Square Drive and Hillside Avenue when emergency crews responded to downed trees and live wires, Cole said.

At about 3 p.m. Cole said a landslide between Macbeth Drive and Hillside Avenue will likely close the road, also known as Mosside Boulevard, down to state Route 130.

“It’ll be closed for the next 24 hours,” Cole said, adding that decision is ultimately up to PennDOT, who had engineers on site Monday afternoon.

Abers Creek Road is closed between Northern Pike and Saunders Station Road, Cole said.

The intersection of Cavitt and Abers Creek roads is also closed due to flooding, he said.
