Emiliano's, Jason's Deli coming to the North Hills
Two new restaurants are scheduled to open early next month in the North Hills.
Emiliano's
Work is nearing completion for the Sept. 4 grand opening of a new Emiliano's Mexican Restaurant & Bar in the McCandless Crossing shopping center.
The restaurant will be located on the west side of the shopping center in front of the Lowe's home improvement store.
The locally owned restaurant chain, which focuses on Mexican fare at moderate prices, has locations in Pittsburgh's South Side, Cranberry and the Richland Mall.
The company previously operated an Emiliano's in McIntyre Square in McCandless, but it was closed in March 2013 after Giant Eagle Inc. purchased the property.
Jason's Deli
Jason's Deli, which features deli favorites for health conscious diners, is planning to open on Sept. 11 at The Block Northway in Ross.
The Texas-based family owned restaurant chain, which has 260 delis in 29 states, offers a wide variety of sandwiches, salads and soups prepared with fresh ingredients that contain no artificial trans fats, MSG, high-fructose corn syrup or artificial colors and dyes.
“We are excited to welcome Jason's Deli to The Block Northway,” said Frank Licata, President and Principal of LRC Realty, which owns the mall. “Jason's Deli is a fast-casual eating establishment offering a variety of menu choices. This upscale, health-conscious deli will offer an inviting sit-down atmosphere and will also provide guests the option and convenience of drive-thru service.”
The menu includes traditional deli-style items such Po'boys and muffalettas as well as baked potatoes and pastas. Each restaurant also has a salad bar and offers a daily soup selection.
Diners can cap off their meals with one of the restaurant's most popular features — free ice cream.
