Pine-Richland staff members and community members stopped by the Second Annual Lemonade & Hot Dog Stand benefiting the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh.

The stand was hosted by Hance Elementary School second-grader Callihan Dehart and raised $1,143.

Callihan’s mom Kelly Dehart, an Eden Hall Upper Elementary School teacher, says the fundraiser was started in “honor of Callihan’s brother Donovan, who rocks an extra chromosome.”

Callihan had help from the entire family including little brothers Donovan and Lochlan. This year’s stand was open the second day of staff in-service on Molnar Drive next to Hance Elementary School and is becoming a tradition. Callihan’s dad, Marc, says they hope to continue it for years to come. Lots of teachers and staff members stopped by to support the cause.

All of the money raised went directly to the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh.
