The new playground at McIntyre Elementary School officially opened with a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony. The cost to build the playground was $43,000 and was funded with money raised by the Parent Teacher Student Organization and students, plus grants provided by the Allstate Foundation and Allstate Insurance Company's Helping Hands in the Community Program. The school is in the North Hills School District.
