Kids from around the North Hills gathered at Northland Public Library recently to commemorated Constitution Week with activities, a poster contest and a historical demonstration.
Students and their families attending the 5th annual event gathered to ring bells to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution and to enjoy a program about how the Constitution was made in 1787.
The Wildwood Long Rifle group brought colonial history to life for families including a firing of a time period cannon.
The 2018 “We the People” Poster Contest winners were honored with an award ceremony. All 84 entries will be displayed through Sunday, Sept. 23 in the library’s Children’s Section.
The event was sponsored by the library and the Kushkushkee Trail Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
