North Allegheny School Board appoints new president, vice president
The North Allegheny School Board elected a new president and vice president at its annual reorganization meeting.
The board voted to appoint Richard McClure as its president and Christopher Disque as vice president.
McClure replaces Scott Russell, who was elected president in June after board member Kevin Mahler stepped away from the post for personal reasons. Mahler was elected president in December 2016 to replace Tara Fisher, who resigned her board seat to move out of state.
McClure became vice president when Russell accepted the president’s position.
McClure, 61, was appointed to the board in September 2015 to fill a vacancy. He won a four-year term on the board in November 2017.
McClure works as a property manager and lives in Franklin Park.
Disque, 45, was elected to his first term on the board in November 2015. He is an executive for a pharmaceutical company and resides in McCandless.
